Spring Flower Photo Locations

The flowers are just showing off at this point and now is the time pack a picnic and walk through fields of fresh blooms. Below are some of my favorite blossoms to explore around Portland and Salem, Oregon.

Little girl smelling the beauiful peonies at Adelman Peony Farm

May 1st – June 15th

Peonies are our absolute favorite flower and make for a gorgeous backdrop. Adelman’s Open House hours are 9 am – 6pm from May 1st thru June 15th. Golden hour sessions here are an additional $100.

wisteria at bush pasture park in salem oregon

Wisteria, rhododendrons, daisies, and the friendliest squirrels one my favorite client’s daughter calls “kitties”. Bush’s Pasture Park is full of color right now and would serve as a fantastic place to set up a picnic throughout May. As a warning to parents, there is a cool little playground that you may want to either use as carrot or avoid at all costs. It is located behind the Bush Family Museum.

This photo was taken in late March. The wildflowers are now  in FULL FORCE (we are currently in early May). Book your hike and portrait session right now! Gorgeous all day every day. Send me an inquiry and let me know if you want to include a hike and picnic experience, or just a session with your favorite people frolicking in wildflowers. I am down for it all. Let’s go!

Other favorite Spring Locations

Hoyt Arboretum – Walk amongst a variety of spring blossoms still in bloom. Hoyt Arboretum is my favorite year-round location, stunning in the spring, summer, and fall. Check out their Spring Blossom Guide here
Camassia Natural Area – Gorgeous grounds that stay vibrant through late spring. Unfortunately their site says they’re still closed for the time being until they can safely reopen. The paths can be narrow at times but definitely a place to return to or check out as soon we can.
And I know a lot of you have joined me for a session or two in Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. This is another year-round favorite of mine. Friendly pathways, bridges, duckies, and so many colorful blooms. Their rhododendrons should be in peak bloom from now until late May.
