Annie was absolutely incredible. We had her take extended family photos and she somehow was able to capture the essence of our family. Not only are the pictures high quality, but the candid shots truly radiate the joy and love felt in those moments. Annie was a true joy to work with from start to finish, she went above and beyond to create a special day for us all (adults, kids, and a dog!). It's so special to get to witness someone practicing their craft and something they were made to do. Would 100% book her again. And again.
I have worked with Annie on two occasions and cannot possibly sing her praises enough. What I love most about Annie is her ability to bring out the beauty in natural, genuine moments. She has an eye that seeks out what is real and brings it to the forefront, making it tangible in every shot. Annie is full of ease and has a great sense humor so it’s easy to be yourself and not feel posed. Most recently Annie did a large, extended family shoot for us. I was astounded by her fluidity in working with people who felt uncomfortable in front of the lens. She blends both the art and science of photography in her product. My only regret is that I am left wondering how much more depth and feeling would have been captured in our wedding photos had she been our photographer back then. Working with any other photographer is simply not an option for us any more.
Annie has a rare ability to make you feel instantly at ease, like an friend you've known for years. She has a great sense of humor and is patient with people (like me) who don't especially like being the subject of a photo. Annie has a real talent for bringing out and capturing your best qualities; I absolutely love the head-shot photos from our time together!
We had so much fun April 2nd at our mini spring photo session. I cannot wait to see what Annie captured. She is so talented and this is our second time going to Annie for family photos. After a snack break mid-session and watching our energetic boys do laps up and down the tulip rows, my husbanded commented, "[Annie] you have the patients of a God!". It was crazy busy at the Woodburn tulip festival but so worth the wait. Thank you Annie!
My favorite thing about Annie's work is that not only the sweet, "picture perfect", moments are captured; she's so good at getting the silly, candid, fleeting moments - the spirit of the person, not the posed smile.
Annie was prompt and helpful when I first inquired about a session, she was so great with my kiddos during the photo shoot, and the photos came out amazing! There aren’t enough adjectives to describe how great she was and how happy we are with the finished products!
Your search is over. Really. Annie took pictures of our family, and they came out so much better than I expected. It was only in our back yard (ours is not exactly a magical place of wonder), and she still managed to capture _those_ moments. Anyone can buy the equipment, and watch YouTube tutorials, but the magic, the eye for those special moments is what one pays for with Annie. We are prepping for another session with her. Annie is also very flexible and weaves her way into your routine seamlessly to capture what you really remember. When this pandemic is over, I'm having a nice outdoor late evening dinner with all those friends we miss to mark the occasion for a new normal -- and I'm booking Annie to capture that. Book her, guaranteed you will not regret it.
Annie has done photography of my family on two sperate occasions; both times were wonderful and I am very happy with the experience and results. Annie knows how to look and capture the real moments with my family and also provide guidance to us on creating a visually appealing pictures. She was good at communicating with me before we met, during the photography session and afterwards when our photos were about to arrive. Our last photography session we traveled to a winery for great backdrop and scenery. I should also add my 1-year old cried almost the entire photography session and she was so attentive that she captured pictures of him smiling and happy, which I don’t know how she did that, but she did.
